Indoor air is often up to 5 times more polluted than outside air, and it's vital to life that we breathe the cleanest, safest air.
Air pollution is composed of the following:
- Particulates, such as vehicle emissions, pollen, dust mites, pet dander, cigarette smoke and candle char
- Bioburden, such as living and dead biological material, including bacteria, viruses, mold spores and fungi.
- Volatile organic compounds, which are the gaseous state of chemicals. In our homes they come from cleaning supplies, paints, perfumes, plastic, furniture, carpets, glue and more.
Beam HEPA filtration products employ simple technology to solve the three categories of indoor air pollution.
What is HEPA?
HEPA, or High Efficiency Particulate Arrestance is a standard created by the US Atomic Energy Commission, which requires that filtered air should remove 99.97% of particulates 0.3 microns in size and larger. For comparison, 1 micron is 300 times smaller than the thickness of one human hair!
Beam offers two types of air filtration products:
- Central Filtration System, which attaches to your furnace's return air duct
- Portable Room Filter, which can be moved from room to room
Neither model produces ozone. Both have very low maintenance requirements, with HEPA cartridges lasting up to 5 years or longer.
Beam Air Filtration systems are equipped with a 3 stage filtering process:
